#mispoon says: eating late at night may increase your cardiovascular risk by 55%

A 2013 prospective study (Circulation. 2013;128:337-343) on male health workers found indeed that people eating late at night had a 55% increase in their risk of coronary heart disease. Even if the study was slightly underpowered for this endpoint, it is in concordance with previous studies showing increased cardiovascular risk in night shift workers.

This finding probably underlines the metabolic aberrancies that occur when someone’s lifestyle goes against metabolism’s circadian rhythm.

Through #mispoon, you can coordinate your way of eating with your metabolism’s circadian rhythm. Find out more on mission here
